We understand how troublesome it can be to deal with critters walking around your home and damaging the rest of the property. Raccoons commonly break into homes when it's nearby their food source or once they locate an opening. The damages from their stay can cost a large sum -which is a big downside for the property owner. Although our company doesn't exterminate pests, we are dedicated to removing wildlife from properties. This commonly includes different mammals and reptiles. Our raccoon removal service starts off with a 32-point inspection process to allow our crew to locate the entry points and nests that may be in the home. We believe this plays a great role in the effectiveness of the removal process, which is why our team takes their time and makes sure to check every inch of the property. Following this, we keep our methods humane while complying with the state's guidelines for wildlife control. Our team makes use of different technology and devices to help increase work efficiency. We also offer repairs on the damages caused by the critters to further ensure that other critters won't make their way into the property. We offer all this at an affordable cost. Although it's a difference lower than the majority, we keep our work level high quality! You may book appointments on the same day or the next day in case of emergency cases or for your convenience. Louisville pest control

We are Kentucky's top experts in wildlife and raccoon control. We are not a typical Louisville raccoon control or pest control company. We don't treat wild animals like insects, because they are not! You can't just use poison to get rid of them. You also can't just set a few traps on the ground and call it good. Each situation is unique. And remember, if you have raccoons living in your house, it is almost certainly a female with a litter of young inside. These juveniles must be removed by hand, or they will starve to death and die. And after they are gone, the entry holes into the house must be sealed with professional repairs. Unlike most Louisville pest control, we focus on complete and permanent solutions, by following these steps:

  • Inspect the entire house, ground to roof, and the attic
  • Seal shut all entry areas with professional grade steel
  • If in attic, we remove the baby raccoons by hand
  • Technical and human raccoon trapping appropriate to situation
  • When necessary, we clean raccoon droppings and replace insulation

Louisville Raccoon Control Tip: Do raccoons live or travel in packs?
Raccoons live in dens, and throughout their lifetime, they live in multiple dens. Although it is assumed that male raccoons generally like living in solitude, some situations require that they live in packs. So that they can have a higher chance of survival during certain harsh weather conditions like winter, in actuality, raccoons can live on their own. They are capable of finding shelter, food, and water individually. Now even though raccoons are independent, they live in large communities, and these communities consist of both male raccoons, female raccoons, and young ones as well. So, it is obvious that the raccoon can, although not necessarily, live in a community in order to survive.

When raccoons are mature, they become independent, but with a few exceptions. They will have to join a family unit in order to be able to mate and nurture their young ones. They can stay with this family unit for as long as they want. In the family unit, male raccoons do the hunting and bring food for the females and the young ones, although it is not always the case when they are fighting for mating rights. Male raccoons remain with their family units in times of hunger and during the winter period. It is easier for the members of the raccoon community to survive the harsh weather conditions and food scarcity if they stick together.

Raccoons also have family groups that grow in time. In the family, the raccoons are of different sizes. This is as a result of the different mating periods and their rate of survival individually. Breeding is also done within the community, and the family is expanded through mating and breeding. A family of raccoons can last for several months, and that is enough time for them to survive during harsh weather conditions like winter, to be specific. As male raccoons become older, they leave their community for hunting and territorial expansion.

During the winter period, raccoons do not hibernate, but instead, they live in groups. They have to manage on their own because the harsh weather conditions come with a scarcity of food and water. So in order to survive, they have to live in groups and hunt together. It is also easier for raccoons to find shelter when they work in groups. Because as a group, they can explore a wide territory at once and get a good shelter spot. Raccoons like to inspect the things around them while looking for shelter, which would be slower and more challenging if it is done individually. Raccoons rely on the natural process while looking for shelter. Also, they prefer living in tree dens while raising young ones.

Traveling in groups also protects them from predators. Raccoons also mate during the winter period, and their children learn to make sounds. Raccoons communicate with each other using over two hundred sounds and twelve to fifteen different calls.

Most raccoon groups are usually not more than four or five. However, the female raccoons stay in larger groups for a year, especially if they have many young ones. Despite the fact that raccoons are nocturnal animals, nursing mothers are known to forage for food during the day.

Male raccoons, though, do prefer living in solitude. When male raccoons live together, it usually results in conflicts leading to serious fights. That is why they do not usually live in groups or packs except during the winter period. Female raccoons are the more social creatures. They live together until it is time to give birth. Raccoons also come together for fun, but it is rare to see such.
